Family Background and Roots
Sujoy hails from a close-knit Goan Catholic family, where faith wasn’t just preached—it was practiced. His father worked in the mining industry (now retired) and remains his life’s mentor: a man of integrity, discipline, and deep sacrifice.
His mother, a retired schoolteacher, added warmth, gentleness, and devotion to their family’s rhythm. His younger brother, a marine engineer, rounds out their happy tribe. This is a family whose motto could well be: “No vices, just values.”
